Launch the free and portable ExperienceIndexOK application and, on its interface, you will see your PC’s Windows Experience Index (WEI) base score as well as the individual scores for your processor, RAM, graphics, and primary hard disk. Click on “Re-run the assessment” button from the lower right hand corner on the interface and ExperienceIndexOK will recalculate your Windows Experience Index score.

If you have Windows Vista or Windows 7, you don’t need this application and that’s because you can very easily access the Windows Experience Index on these Windows editions. If you have Windows 8, 8.1, or even 10, you do need this application and that’s because Microsoft removed the interface that displays the WEI scores. You’ll have to use the command prompt or PowerShell to get a score, and the score will be displayed as text, it won’t be displayed on a good looking interface, as was the case with Vista and Windows 7.

As mentioned at the start of this article, ExperienceIndexOK is portable. To start using this application on a Windows PC, you must download an archive, extract its contents, and run an executable. You will not have to install the application, you’ll only have to run its executable.

ExperienceIndexOK’s interface provides support for multiple languages: English, Russian, Japanese, and more. The main panel displays your WEI base score and the scores for your CPU, RAM, and other hardware. Above this main panel there’s a menu that lets you take a screenshot of the interface; there’s also a menu that lets you open the Task Manager, the System Properties, and a few other tools that are built into the Windows operating system.

ExperienceIndexOK is free software. If you find it useful, do consider making a donation.

The Windows Experience Index benchmarks your PC’s hardware and gives it a base score. ExperienceIndexOK shows you this base score and the scores for all the hardware components that were benchmarked.

Pros

ExperienceIndexOK is portable software; you won’t have to install it. ExperienceIndexOK’s interface provides support for multiple languages. View your Windows Experience Index base score and benchmark your PC at any time. ExperienceIndexOK is free software (please make a donation if you like this application).

Cons

You don't need it if you have Vista or Windows 7.
